| 释义 | International Convention Concerning the Carriage of Goods by Road 国际公路货物运送公约 原文为Convention relative au Contrat de Transport International de Transport International de Marchandises Par Route，简称CMR，有人也译为「国际公路货物运送契约公约」(Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road)，系1956年由17个欧洲国家於日内瓦所签署的国际公约，以使各缔约国的货物可以仅凭一张不可转让提单(*non-negotiable bill of lading)或托运单(*consignment note)而在该地区间由发送地直接运达目的地，从而使英国与欧陆之间的驶进驶出(*roll on-roll off)运输得以建立，并对於国际公路运送契约条款予以标准化，是国际公路运输方面重要的国际公约。该公约自1961年开始生效，全文共分51条，主要内容包括：定义公路提单或托运单、运送人的责任、运送人责任的限制、诉讼时效(Limitations of Action)及管辖权(Jurisdiction)等。 |
